Elevation has over 11 years of experience serving the architecture and construction fields with over 7 years in the roofing industry. Since 2002, Adam Tomlinson has assisted architects and construction companies as a manufacturer’s representative in Ohio and Pennsylvania. In 2008, he joined a national roofing products manufacturer as one of four product managers serving over 200 sales reps throughout the U.S., Canada and the UK. He performed complex ASCE-7 and FM wind uplift calculations, snow retention engineering and custom roof installation details for over 3,000 projects located in the U.S., Canada, Caribbean and Africa. His experience and expertise enabled him to teach roof specification and installation courses to architects and roofing contractors throughout the U.S. and Canada. His article on the benefits of increasing the performance of a flat roof by adding slope with a retrofitted standing seam roof system was published by the School Plant Officials of British Columbia.
Roof quality assurance observation services have been performed on all types of roofing systems including wood, metal and concrete decks; lightweight insulating concrete, polyiso, EPS and tapered insulation systems, dens deck and securock cover boards, mechanically fastened, fully adhered, torch or cold applied EPDM, TPO, PVC, BUR, Modified Bitumen, Shingle and Standing Seam roof systems.
Clients include the Army Corps of Engineers in Ohio and New York, Ohio Department of Transportation, First Energy Nuclear Operations Company, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Baldwin-Wallace College. Lifecycle analysis and roof asset management clients include First Energy locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania and Inland Property Management Company shopping centers in Washington, California, Colorado and Texas.
